Taken at Bon?ida Banffy Castle. This time I tried something a bit different and didn't focus on the main building. The tower appears to be quite old and in a very poor state, yet the adjacent building is an a perfect condition (it cannot be seen in this photograph; the window from the far background is actually from the main building).

"The Divine Child", by Pascal Bruckner
Pascal Bruckner never ceases to surprise me. "The Divine Child" is the story of a mother-to-be, that believes the unborn children have too much spare time on their hands; time is one of the most valuable things in the world and babies are basically wasting all this time sitting and being little dummies.
Flickr API, Javascript and Windows Desktop
Lately I've came across a very underrated feature of Microsoft Windows, the ability to use an HTML page as a desktop wallpaper. GIMP - Using an image/layer as a layer mask
This started to become annoying. Although GIMP has some very nice features and can be considered a real candidate to Photoshop, some of them can be quite hard and counter-intuitive to use. One of them would be the ability to paste a layer inside a layer mask - or in other words use another layer as a layer mask.
"Strangers", by Taichi Yamada
Haunted by this story for weeks, I must admit that this book managed to make me feel more alive and aware of my surroundings. It started out as something normal, a story encapsulated very well in borders of the reality - but as the story progressed, it started to run into the fantasy realm.
A Bitter Victory
Sometimes a conjunction can make us feel more powerful than we really are. It can take us to uncharted territories, to places that we only dreamed of, while in the same time making us capable of doing the impossible.
“There are victories of the soul and spirit. Sometimes, even if you lose, you win.”
~ Elie Wiesel
